Growing Like Crazy!

The boys are growing like crazy. Maddox had his 9th month bday on April 20th. He had his check on Tuesday, April 26th, and he weighed in at 23 lbs. and 2 oz. He was 28.5 inches long and he is overall pretty much in the 75th percentile for all his measurements which is no suprise b/c he my "big" boy! He has such an incredible personality. He is always so happy, unless it's feeding time. He is refusing most baby food and wants real table food. He seems to like almost everything we feed him. He also loves to laugh. See video for a cute example. Jaxson has changed so much in the past few weeks. His verbal skills are so amazing. He is having such intelligent conversation, and will even correct us if he misinterpreted what he said. He has also started making this particular face when he is trying to explain something. He kinda squinches up his face, and closes one eye. The "look" is one of my favorite new things. I will work on trying to capture it with the camera!

Jesus Has Risen...Happy Easter!

Happy Easter 2010!
This has been one of the best weekends our family has had! Besides the beautiful weekend, we also were able to spend time as "Gina" and as "Charles." I started the weekend off by taking a half day on Friday and spending the entire rest of the day with Jessica, one of my best friends. We had a pampering and "eating" day! It was so great to just be us girls.

Charles spend a good part of Saturday with his friends playing ball, while I had the boys. Maddox is showing signs of having some allergies (outdoor). But the boys were well behaved and we had a great time. Saturday evening we met up with my Dad and Karren for burgers and some family bonding. I feel so lucky to have all of my parents so physically close to my family. I think it it so important for grandparents to be a part of their grandchildren lives. I wish I could have seen all of mine more often.

On Sunday we planned to all go to Grace Covenant Church. We are still going back and forth with which church we will go to, but there is no hurry to make this decision, but of course all churches were full today! LOL! Both boys attended the Sunday school/childcare that they offer and it was so nice to sit in church and be able to pay attention to the sermon. I needed today's message!

After church we headed home for a a while and then packed everyone up in the Yukon and started towards Strasburg, VA to have Easter dinner with my Mom and Frank, Grandma Ours, Grandma Gus, Aunt Chris and Uncle Mike. It is so great to be around family. It was also my Mom's 55th Birthday! Happy Birthday Mommy! I love you and I hope that you enjoyed your special day! You deserved it!

Right when we got home this evening, I took a few pictures of the boys!

WOW am I lucky to have such great kids, husband, family and friends! This weekend has been a total success. I realize more and more how special each day is and I hope to remember that for as long as I live!

Monday always comes too quick! Until next time...
